Dr Md Ruhul Islam is presently serving as an Adjunct Faculty at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Sikkim Manipal University(SMU). He brings with him a wealth academic and industry experience across various roles in the field of Information technology and Computer Science. He is associated as a Senior Software Developer at NullPointer Corp., Chicago, USA (Remote). He previously served as an IT Consultant (Band A) at Cloud Shine Global LLP, Guwahati, Assam, and worked as a Quality Assurance lead for Radiant Medical System (Bangalore). He also held the position of Sr. Software Developer-I at Covalensedigital (Bangalore). In academia, Dr Islam served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT). Additionally, he contributed as a Technical Advisor for Untapd , a startup incubated under AIC-SMUTBI. He holds a B.E Computer Science & Engineering(CSE) from VTU, Belgaum, M.Tech in Information technology(IT) from SMIT and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering(CSE) from SaiNath University (SNU), India. Dr Islam has published over forty-five research papers in reputed International Journals and has presented at numerous national and international conferences. His primary research interests including Cloud Computing, Cyber security, Wireless network, 4G Security, Mobile Adhoc Networking and Pattern Recognition.
