Ms. Manita Subba is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Sikkim Manipal University. She holds an M.A. in Sociology from the Central University of Sikkim, where she received the Silver Medal for academic excellence, and a B.A. from Sikkim Government College, Tadong. She has cleared the UGC-NET (JRF) twice. Her research interests include urban sociology, gender studies, and the sociology of everyday life. She has published in Social Trends and presented papers at various national and international conferences.
